It's a band which doesn't exist but I've learnt about them this year thanx to their founder Michael Tapson who caught me via Myspace. Maintenance of Order was a band who surprisingly didn't get a huge exposure tho it should have gotten a lot regarding years of their activity (since 1993) and a fame of industrial rock music those days.
This Chicago based band whose former members feed Tapsonic (Tapson) and Elyzium (Langfield) at the present was founded by Michael Tapson at Northern Illinois University in 1993. The band line up was, besides Tapson, also George Povich, Derek Geisser (one of the tallest guitarist ever – 6'8" ;)), Joshua Langfield and later Luke Smith on drums. They were playing shows with f.e. Cubanate, Acumen (present Acumen Nation), Sister Soleil, Rorschach Test, 16volt, or Chemlab in the 90's.

System album is like a trip into the 90's to recall what the true, a bit raw industrial rock music was at the beginning. Tracks are based guitars-bass-drums fusion with slight samplers addons. Their music reminds me Slave Unit (Mother) and Stabbing Westward (Merry-Go-Round) with similar shouted lyrics and edgy vibe. There are a few 'catchy' (if only industrial rock can be catchy) songs like Merry-Go-Round, Drown, Own, Dive but also a few more instrumental tracks kept in a vibe of dark electronic bands kind of Numb (Untitled, Void). Besides that there is one track which reminds me (not that much industrial rock) Leaether Strip efforts (Finest Hour).
System album is a good introduction to all those fans of industrial rock who would like to know a non-commercial side of original industrial rock music made in the 90's.

There is a set of videos which you can find interesting as they show MoO on the stage and also giving interviews at radio shows.
Mike Tapson decided to give the album for a free download, so get it now and enjoy! ( Katarzyna NINa Górnisiewicz. Must not be used for promotional or commercial purposes. See a Legal Note for the copyrights below)
