Between 2001-2016, Fabryka Music Magazine was the only professional on-line magazine specialized in guitar driven industrial rock and industrial metal. It was then turned into Industrial Rock & Metal Encyclopedia. Our original content includes important info about new and well known bands of the genres, provided through news, reviews, interviews and podcasts. Rock/metal/industrial review submissions are still accepted - read our testimonials and pro reviews written by NINa. Free hosting by Darknation.eu.
The industrial metal scene lost yet another meaningful musician. Mike Scaccia (Ministry, Rigor Mortis, Revolting Cocks) collapsed on stage during a performance at Bruce Corbitt's (Rigor Mortis, vocals) 50th birthday party in Fort Worth, Texas on 12/23/2012. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed this was caused by a heart attack due to heart disease. Mike was 47 years old.
Scaccia was best known for his amazing talent with the guitar during his years with Rigor Mortis and playing with Ministry on notable releases such as The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste, Psalm 69 and Filth Pig. He also appeared on 1000 Homo DJ's Supernaut (as Ike Krull), Skrew Burning In Water, Drowning In Flame, Revolting Cocks Linger Ficken' Good..., Lard Pure Chewing Satisfaction and many more amongst his discography. Mike's latest works included Ministry's Relapse and Al Jourgensen's side project Buck Satan And The 666 Shooters debut album (2012). He was just in the midst of recording guitar tracks with the band 1nch Inch Punch for their long awaited new album.
According to Ministry, a memorial service which is open to the public will take place on Sunday, December 30th - 3 PM, Aristide, 570 N. Walnut Creek, Mansfield, TX 76063.
