[social media] Last.fm - Discover web app
Last.fm Discover is a personalized music player that introduces a listener to bands from around the world by letting him/her browse through musical styles that he/she may already know or want to learn more about. Last.fm tags system encourages the weird and the wonderful, the micro-communities and new scenes that are springing up as fast as new, independent bands are formed.

[social media] ManageFlitter - perhaps your best Twitter manager
ManageFlitter
Reviewed by Fabryka Music Magazine on .
Some people may follow your Twitter account expecting that you'll follow them back and then, boom, they'll unfollow you in a few days thinking you won't learn about it. They'll just keep you as an additional item to their numbers collection to prove how popular they are. There are many on-line apps to let you avoid such fishy followers, manage your Twitter account and become aware of unfair behaviors. Here's ManageFlitter, one of the best apps to show you if your followers are really the people you'd like to stay in touch with.

Four Firefox plugins for music journalists

Firefox Internet browser and its addons along with LibreOffice, RSSOwl, Thunderbird or Tweetdeck belong to a group of free and very useful applications which may technically help music journalists do their tasks more efficiently. I've chosen 4 Firefox plug-ins which I have been using to create Fabryka Music Magazine content and promote it on-line.

[tech] Tag your music right with Mp3tag
Tag your music right with Mp3tag
Reviewed by Fabryka Music Magazine on .
This multi-language freeware Windows app doesn't scan your hard drive searching for music files which is always a good, secure option. It can connect to US and German Amazon stores, MusicBrainz, freeDB and what's crucial - Discogs as well to let you quickly download and save all the tags. If you need a free, light mp3 tagger/renamer with both basic and advanced options, then Mp3tag will definitely do the job and fast.
