A trumpet is not an instrument utilized very often in metal music and thus, it may sound surprising when it comes into the mix right after such metal-orientated arrangements. However, it does work well with the initial piano score when combined with the symphonic metal sections of the song.

"This Divine Tragedy" has possible hit potential, though the best chance if the track is illustrated with a matching music video or finds it's way into distribution as a song from a movie soundtrack.

Uniqueness, independence and technical skills equal strong values. It seems like Principal Spinach have already worked out their own original style. Since they do not seem to copy other artist there is still a chance that they may be followed by copycats in the future since their sound is so compelling. Songs like "Dirty Tommy" usually fall into rock music history if they receive the appropriate support. This is what Principal Spinach may need fans of their music to outwardly express since the band has already proven that they have given 100%.

There's something about "Pickin On Me" that you will like and at least a few details your ear won't miss. It may be the overall nice groove, the repetitions but also the sensual mood. These usually turn one’s mind on and so, they may play with yours as well.

Rhys creates a mood of fear, with the feeling of a chase. There's a story coming out of it. You'll hear screaming kids, a howling wolf and a scared woman’s heavy breathing. These topics repeat until a heartbeat effect appears.

Sharp rhythms and solo guitar riffs by Paul Jeanrenaud and David Currie continuously spice up the arrangements while leaving free space for an improvised virtuosity (which is quite useful for live shows). The lead guitar segments sound clean and cold, yet steadily underlined throughout the entire track.

Punisher (Eric Broxton) - Shattered Reflections

"Shattered Reflections" brings with it memorable choruses and positive moods. Although the track was composed without aggressive dynamics and shredding on guitar, this is a positive aspect towards the atmosphere of the song. This short and soothing composition may be enjoyed by those listeners who are already stable in life and don't feel any burning need to reflect their frustrations through very heavy and noisy styles of music.

Raftree - What I Say

This song is the perfect solution if you like solid and predatory heavy rock in conjunction with interestingly arranged bass lines, professional yet not intrusive guitar riffs, well laid drum beats and Ken Raftree's strong voice, who sings naturally without leaning on the auto-tuning trend as many modern vocalists sometimes do.

The guitars sound clear, lively and sharp while the drums and bass became deeper, resulting in an intensified, pleasant groove.

Ronan Le Barbare - Ronan Le Barbare
Rating: 4
Reviewed by Fabryka Industrial Rock & Metal Encyclopedia on .
Ronan Le Barbare is a solo project by French guitarist Ronan LeBouc. He has been making music for the last 17 years and the self-tilted album is his debut. Judging by the title, the musician has been touched and inspired by iconic 80's movies about a mighty warrior - Conan The Barbarian - which illustrated such aspects of human nature as brutality, spirituality, honor, vengeance, and sadness.

Not passion, but fury marks this instrumental song called "String Theory" which comes from the newest yet untitled album recorded by American musicians Rozich and Brailsford. It's a perfect track which can be compared to the most famous progressive music compositions, however it's directed to those of you who are not afraid to enjoy the heavier side of things.

There's a lot to be found within the songs - dynamics and poetry, aggression and passion. The collection begins with "Deliverance" - fast paced hard rock drum beats build up a solid sonic spine for spiritually uplifting guitar riffs. By turns, higher and lower riffs shoot the song into your ears like a Uzi submachine gun.

If a majority of people were to understand the beauty of classical music, Sit Kitty Sit could have been nominated for the most promising music discovery of 2012. However, since most music fans seem to enjoy bouncy pop, electronica or hip-hop music as opposed to something dynamic and intelligent, let us believe that serious music connoisseurs and audiophiles will truly support this ambitious project by purchasing their music and enjoying their live performances.

"Pleasantly Amused" doesn't bring along any dramatic moods, though your ear may detect a bit of impatience or even anxiety. A balanced share of instrumental parts, including peaceful guitars together with lightly accented drums make the whole a rather ear-friendly composition.

Smoke & Mirrors - Gates Of Hell
Reviewed by Fabryka Industrial Rock & Metal Encyclopedia on .
The title song from this EP brings the moods of rock and blues ballads with heavy accents coming from a fusion of guitar and bass. Guitar solos appear in the second part of the song and they vitalize this composition along with the vocals. A peaceful tempo and classical arrangements stand for an interesting espionage towards the feel of 70’s hard rock and should be loved by those of you searching for new bands inspired by such tunes. The track is additionally spiced up with the grunge vibes and vocals reminiscent of Bush or Creed.
