Sepal EP |Sepal, 2008|

1. Ways of..., 2. Dysfunction, 3. Points Of Revolution, 4. Final Edge, 5. Unbreakable Path, 6. Suicidal God, 7. 14 Days

Sepal is another interesting band hailing from Croatia, actually found in the top friends of KOH band reviews recently in Fabryka.

The sound of Sepal is heavy, metal-like but they use a little bit of samplers, hidden somewhere in the background and covered by heavy growling vocals with guitars-drums section working dynamically (listen to Dysfunction). Lyrics sung in English, composed well, and the tracks shared in a way that every instrument has been underlined individually.

I liked Revolution very much with its metal progressive tunes. In fact Sepal isn't quite an industrial metal band as they approach closely to progressive vibes, so they are not limited by one of the music styles. Their songs contain much more of the inspirations, just listen to Unbreakable Path and 14 Days or Final Edge which sounds like a track deeply inspired by a variety of music styles - black metal or progressive rock Dream Theatre-like. The deeper into the EP the more metal and progressive it becomes. Sepal is definitely a band of great abilities and recommended while Suicide God is the best example for above. (NINa)
