3 Songs About Love And Hate |Skinny Kitty Productions, 2006|

Every Time, Blood, I Can't Let You Go

Microwaved it's a project of Gabriel Wilkinson. Grown in Cedar Falls, Iowa, an isolated place where making electronic music is related to working with machines mostly, Microwaved created an isolated music driven by fascinations of such bands like Skinny Puppy, old Wax Trax label stuff, Bauhaus or, on the other side The Rolling Stones. Such Skinny Puppy, and a bit gothic influences are present in all of the 3 songs on this album. Cold, almost murky vibe flows out of Every Time and Blood tracks. The third song called I Can't Let You Go developes in an intriguing way thanx to the layered sounds and the monologues sampled out of movies. Those three songs show how to mingle influences coming from three styles of music - rock, gothic and industrial. ( Katarzyna NINa Górnisiewicz. I'm no guitar virtuoso so I don't need scalloped necks or extra strings or fancy handles or whatever else can come on a guitar. I just want a hammer to brutally smash the preconceived notions and outdated paradigms of the listener. I wanna fuck people up with noise. ;) Skrew (2011)
