There are regions around the Earth with very interesting electronic music. This time have a look into Australia. Crash Frequency, a collective venture founded in 2004 to support local Australian darkwave, gothic, industrial and electronic scene released the second V/A which provides a double CD set with 28 songs, all illustrated by a professional CD artwork and a layout. Disc one "Arrival" contains radio/single versions of 15 awesome tracks, while the disc two "Departures (Club) contains 13 thumping club remixes. Songs by such bands like Angel Theory, Ressurection Eve, Angelspit, Plague Sequence could make you go to the dance floor. There are also rock songs like an awesome "No Apology" by Domino Theory, "Tulip Eyes" by DandelionWine with a violin - bass leitmotive and cool, elegant electronics or guitar driven "Hush" by Dezychain.
The top hit on the disc one is absolutely "Surveillance" by Tankt, an easy going electronic song with a splendid background and a catchy refrain.

As for the disc two, there is a song which stuck in my memory for longer - "Elixir" by Angelspit, a digital hardcore style track with tempting and rebelled vocals enriched by harsh tunes and pumping drums. Fans of Depeche Mode should appreciate "Avarice" by Tycho Brahe. Also Tankt's remix of a song called "Club Life" and Plague Sequence with their techno-rave like "Take The First Step" should catch legs in motion. The best remix on the disc two is a dance and instrumental track "Lethargy" by The Process Void with rhythmic beats and cool samples.
Crash Frequency 02 is a great collection for club, podcasts and online show DJs and a cool collective effort to show a state of the Australian independent scene A.D. 2006.

I think anger is over-used. It seems any kid who has experienced a breakup at the age of 14 can sing a metal-core song about it nowadays. Maximum Sexy Pigeon (2013)
